		<description>I&#039;ve never been allergic to it, but Hubby is one of those that swears he gets it just by looking at it.

We use roundup to kill poison ivy that&#039;s farther away from the house and the garden, but I don&#039;t like spraying any chemicals anywhere near the house/food sources/anything I don&#039;t want to die.  

Everywhere else we just smother it out.  I cut back the leaves then we keep a big roll of black plastic to cover it with, smother it dead, then we dig up the roots.  

It&#039;s everywhere around here, and no matter how hard we try to keep it away from the house another patch pops up every year.</description>
