Just Say No to….Drills?
When I picked Aidan up from Kindergarten yesterday she had a red ribbon on her shirt that said, “Proud to be Drug Free!” So our conversation went something like this…
“Aidan, did you learn about drugs today?”
“Yes.”
“Well what did you learn?”
“That you should just say no to drills and that police dogs will eat little kids if they do something they’re not suppose to.”
“WHAT?”
“Yeah, don’t be bad or you’ll get eaten by a police dog.”
“Police dogs will not eat you.”
“They will if you’re bad.”
“Aidan, do you know what drugs are?”
“Julie had to ride the bus today.”
When Ben got home, he asked Aidan how school went.
“We learned about drugs!”
Ben said, “Oh yeah! What did you learn about drugs?”
“That you should always lock your door when bad people are trying to get in.”
