“My, what pretty eyes she has”

That’s what he said while we were getting off the plane. I had tried so hard not to stare at him the whole time before boarding the plane and was trying even harder not to stare at him now that he was standing behind us in the line as we were getting off the plane. I decided to turn around. I had Aidan in my arms, she was like 5 months old then.  That’s when he said it. It was Bo Diddley. I was reminded of this after hearing of his death on June 2nd. He died from heart failure.

I didn’t even know that much about him. I wasn’t like a huge fan or anything. Something about him just caught my attention. Maybe it was his hat :) Anyway, I think it will be fun to tell Aidan the story as she grows up. I like stories :)
